Lemay Lake

Anybody ever fish this lake? Is it worth trying? My buddy just got an apartment on the lake and was thinking about checking it out this weekend. Main reason for this post though, I did a search on this lake and there were very few posts, one of them said something about an aerator being in the lake, does anybody know where this is so I can be somewhat cautious of it? Or if there is even an aerator in it?

The DNR lakefinder has no information on the aerator but they do have a lake map available.

By the looks of it it is only 13 ft max depth so if there are fish and they want no winterkill then an aerator makes sense.

I FISH THIS LAKE, THE OPEN WATER IS ACROSS FROM THE APARTMENTS, THERE ARE BIG STOCKED CRAPPIES 12-15 INCHES BUT WHEN THEY GET FISHED OUT THEY ARE MOSTLEY GONE AND THERE ARE LOTS OF SMALL CRAPS. GO BETWEEN THE POINT AND THE OPEN WATER 13 14 FT GOOD LUCK JETHRO

I used to live in those apartments and fished the lake regularly because I heard the same tale...

15"ers in that lake is like teets on a bull...

There were 15"ers in there at one time. About 7 or 8 years ago. It got fished out as fast as the word spread. A buddy and I heard about it from a friend who lived on the lake. Man was it fun. 12" was average, 13"-14" were predominant with 15"ers quite common. That was before it even had an aerator. Supposedly someone who lived on the lake stocked it with crappies and sunfish. There were also supposed to be some Northern in there. Never did catch one. It was fun while it lasted. I heard the dnr bought land on the lake, installed the aerator, and there was talk of a fishing pier.
