I don't know about the bite, but Tetonka would be a good bet for some nice perch.

Hawkeye, have you heard of anything going on?

had some luck on horseshoe today with big (11"+ on some) perch. caught a ton, kept a few (i don't have time to sharpen my fillet knife every other fish). 16fow on the main lake portion, demon glow with minner head was the best for me. caught a few on bobber & minnow, but not many. although they did seem to be the bigger. no crappies though frown.gif

Was out on Horseshoe last night 4pm to 7:30 trying for some crappies. They came up off the bottom in about 22ft of water. Showed fish from 16ft to 20ft, but no takers. Maybe with the low pressure coming it will pick up???

Scott D,

were you in a black portable out from the landing??? i was out there from 1-5:30 catching perch. i started in 26fow and also marked the schools of fish coming thru at 15-18ft and couldn't get them to bite, so i moved in to 16fow and caught perch.

Yeah, that was us. We've been going there for the last week or so right in that spot, it comes sharply from 19 feet down to 22 feet. There is a little pocket right there that holds the perch and crappies. the spot is about 6 feet in diameter, but it is a nice little hole. We've been doing pretty good right there, but last night was not the night...it all dropped off on sunday when the high pressure came in. Maybe tomorrow, or saturday it will be better???

I heard recently the water level had gone down some. Sound like folks are re really dealing with a mess.    Fishing pictures look like a good year in that regard.   Hope the property loss isn't terrible but seems bad.   Bill

Yesterday was a grind to find bigger fish but we landed a few. Only 3 fish overall but they were all nice fish, all C&R. I do believe the sunfish are out of the shallows besides small ones. Thursday I took the nephews out and didn't see any on beds.

Glad you keep coming back, Mark. And glad you still know the way to catch a slew of walleyes. I wish i could’ve learned more while you were here. But I appreciate all the information you provide on what worked for you.  Strange year. We just got part of our dock in and our boat. I fished a couple hours this morning for the first time on a Frazer hump you know and caught ten under 12” and one keeper which I released… a nice 26+“. I’m hoping more to come soon. I hope all is well with you, Dick

Maybe the bamboozler will end up being like every fish story, some old timers holding their hands out as wide as possible to demonstrate to a youngster just how big it was....

Fished a bigger lake, fish or at least the eaters are on the mid lake humps. Water Temps 68 degrees, freezer now has 6 total as I've been eating fish often. Tomorrow we chase the 30" walleye for catch and release.
