Need some info on Cenaiko.

I'm hearing reports of open water on Cenaiko. Is this true??

Also, what time does the park open 5am or 6am? I can't for the life of me remember.

Well, to answer my own qeustion. The opener on Cenaiko is officially delayed due to thin ice.

I to was wondering where found that? Is there something special about that lake or something because I thought that people were fishing all over the metro area on lakes such as Crooked and George...?? I sure hope its on, I'm flying in from school to try it out but some things u just cant help!

Called the office at the dam this morning. They told me there was four inches at best, so they were postponing the opener on the lake. I tried calling down to Chaska to see if the same held true on Courthouse pond, but the lady I needed to talk to was on her lunch break. If anyone knows anything about that let us know.

Jeeze really?? Gosh that is not a good deal at all... Courthouse pond is the next best option then, nearest anyway for us guys that relied on Cenaiko??

To my understanding, the DNR cuts a big hole in the ice to dump some yearlings in shorty before winter openener. My guess is that the hole they cut in Courthouse did not freeze, but expanded instead. I would very much doubt there is safe ice on the pond right now, particularly when the fact is considered that opener usually brings hundreds and hundreds of drunken hillbillies...
