Turtle Lake Shoreview

Not much mentioned about Turtle Lake this winter. I am heading out on Saturday to give it a shot. I usually fish the North end in the evening for crappies but going to poke around on the South end for some action.

Anyone been out and know the ice conditions?

I fished there a lot last winter and did well on the south end. Lots of bass and northerns.

I was out on Turtle for a couple hours on Sunday. Fished in the community spot on the south end by the park. I was playing with my aqua vu and didn't see a heck of a lot, but the ice was plenty thick. Very rough, but at least 10, maybe 12 inches, with a good amount of that being clear ice. -Bob-

Was out on Turtle today from 5-7, sat in 15 feet of water, only one bite, and missed the hookset, I think it was a walleye, but that is only a guess. Not a crappie or sunnie to be found either...
