I will be bring some ketchup and mustard that everyone can use. Is every body bringing food or should I bring some hamburgers and buns? If your all bringing lunch then there is no need for me to bring the extra.A few dozen hamburgers and buns are not that hard to bring with if needed.

I will have a pot of chili, cups and spoons for everyone.

I'll have a lunch and some "odds and ends" but a burger would taste pretty darn good at the landing about 4:00 pm (or even sooner). grin.gif

I was planning on bringing deer sausage, cheese and crackers for anyone that wants to munch on 'em. I'll probably pick up a 12 pack of coca cola too. If I should bring more, just let me know.

That should be fine. Thanks.

A majority of the grilling stuff, etc should be covered but you're on your own for your lunch and snacks you may want to have throughout the course of the day.

Sounds good. If there's anything else you guys want me to bring, you just let me know. I'd be happy to bring it...within reason though...I won't go and get lobster tails or something! grin.gif

Pop ups have increased for me for a while now.  Timed to cover my usual taps about the time I would tap.

So there is a boat on a friend's property, has been there for about 4 years, with no contact from owner, and she is unreachable. It was last registered in 2020. Is there any way for him to make it his, legally?

I'm getting a lot of popups adds. Just wondering if it's just my computer or is every one getting them?

Birds at home have been quiet and out of sight.  Not sure where they went.  Last year they wouldn’t respond to calls - until they did.  But that will be common until the girls quit being friendly.

I've seen about 60 turkeys in 1.5 days of hunting thus far.  Unfortunately they are not responding to calls or decoys and the only birds that have walked within range are hens.   It's just a waiting game now.  Deer hunting for turkeys, hoping a legal one walks past before I have to quit in a few days...

A bunch of webcams available these days to see progress as well:   https://lakevermilionresorts.com/webcams/   Looks to be pulling away from shore. I expect ice out between next Friday and Sunday based on temps in the forecast.  Some sun and then some wind would get it going quickly.

But wait Meg, there's more!   Anyway, do you like fishing?  Trolling's kind of fun!  🤭

Well lol, Google is your friend! 🤭     Yes, the 2012 movie "Loon Lake" was filmed in Minnesota. Specifically, it was shot in southwest Minnesota, with locations including Round Lake, Pioneer Village, and Jackson County. The film is also based on a local legend from southwest Minnesota about a witch who lived by Loon Lake.

Well indeed there is a movie and the trailer will help you near down the 25 lakes a lot by just checking into the Loon Lakes in Southwest, MN.  Should be easy now. Have fun.    Eager to escape the grief and nightmares of the city, Louis Olsen travels to Southwest Minnesota, seeking the peace of the rural countryside. When he accidentally disturbs the grave of a supposed local 'witch' Mary Jane Terlinden, what began as a peaceful reprieve unravels into a haunting nightmare from which Louis cannot escape - but is it all just in his head?

Great. That's usually a good sign for ice break-up.
