Hope in one hand......... Looks like upper 30's this week. Are we gonna be able to drive out at all this winter? How about the Extravaganza this month. There's usually about 16-24 inches for that and the water still comes up through the holes. I'd be sketchy about going out on a foot of so-so ice this year...

Hey bigb56303 sounds like you found the spot! With my experience on this lake the crappies are very shy during the day wait until night time and when that school moves through again it will be a blast. Little rock gets very clear in the winter so sometimes they feed late in the evening 7-8. Once you find the fish it's just a waiting game.

Fished on Friday night and the bite was way late for the crappies. Our biggest fish came in at 1:15 a.m. and it was 1.5 lbs. There out there you just have to find them!!

Based on the extented forcast(I know they are almost never right!) it's supposed to get colder after this weekend. Highs in the mid teens to low twenties with lows around zero several mornings. If we don't get another batch of snow before then things should improve some for the extravaganza and around here. Although I'nm not real optimistic about driving on tghe lakes with my full sized truck this winter in the St. Cloud area.
