A small crew made it out yesterday to Lake Zumbro. Five of us fished from 12:30 till 4:30. We iced 15 nice ones. Here's a picture of one of the bulls. Too bad the picture didn't show. But it's a legit 10". WAY TO GO GREBE! grin.gif

Way to go Dan. Nice to see some Bulls taken from the area. We ended up going to Gamehaven. I'll post weekend fishing results soon.

Tyler-

How did you guys do Sat. night out at Willow. I was only there for about a hour and a half and it seemed like it was pretty slow for everyone. Might have had something to do with that front that came through.

"Ahhum, thank you, thank you very much! I hope that all involved were able to watch me studiously and learn from my above average fishing expertise?" grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

Dan, Dan, the fishing man is a good one to go fishing with, took some doing, but we managed and got some nice fish in the process. Thanks for putting up with me for a Sunday afternoon Dan!

Pop ups have increased for me for a while now.  Timed to cover my usual taps about the time I would tap.

So there is a boat on a friend's property, has been there for about 4 years, with no contact from owner, and she is unreachable. It was last registered in 2020. Is there any way for him to make it his, legally?

I'm getting a lot of popups adds. Just wondering if it's just my computer or is every one getting them?

Birds at home have been quiet and out of sight.  Not sure where they went.  Last year they wouldn’t respond to calls - until they did.  But that will be common until the girls quit being friendly.

I've seen about 60 turkeys in 1.5 days of hunting thus far.  Unfortunately they are not responding to calls or decoys and the only birds that have walked within range are hens.   It's just a waiting game now.  Deer hunting for turkeys, hoping a legal one walks past before I have to quit in a few days...

A bunch of webcams available these days to see progress as well:   https://lakevermilionresorts.com/webcams/   Looks to be pulling away from shore. I expect ice out between next Friday and Sunday based on temps in the forecast.  Some sun and then some wind would get it going quickly.

But wait Meg, there's more!   Anyway, do you like fishing?  Trolling's kind of fun!  🤭

Well lol, Google is your friend! 🤭     Yes, the 2012 movie "Loon Lake" was filmed in Minnesota. Specifically, it was shot in southwest Minnesota, with locations including Round Lake, Pioneer Village, and Jackson County. The film is also based on a local legend from southwest Minnesota about a witch who lived by Loon Lake.

Well indeed there is a movie and the trailer will help you near down the 25 lakes a lot by just checking into the Loon Lakes in Southwest, MN.  Should be easy now. Have fun.    Eager to escape the grief and nightmares of the city, Louis Olsen travels to Southwest Minnesota, seeking the peace of the rural countryside. When he accidentally disturbs the grave of a supposed local 'witch' Mary Jane Terlinden, what began as a peaceful reprieve unravels into a haunting nightmare from which Louis cannot escape - but is it all just in his head?

Great. That's usually a good sign for ice break-up.
