HELP---Where to fish in Rochester Area

Hey all

Wondering where there is go hit the ice around the Rochester area. My best buddy lives down there and hasnt gotten out fishing for a while and I am from Minneapolis and have no clue whats around town down there. I plan on coming down and getting him out fishing as much as I can.

Any lake names and whereabouts would be much appreciated.

Also wo uld need to know any good bait shops too.

Chad, we have Foster Arends for trout and small panfish. It's an old gravel quarry that's stock with trout.

Chester Woods, a flooded area that holds bass, panfish, and cats.

Lake Zumbro is another. There's panfish, cats, perch, pike, but no walleyes that I've seen anyway.

Then there's Willow, Gamehaven, CCM pits..... When are you coming?

Gone Fishing is a good bait shop to satisfy all your needs and current fishing reports. If your looking for numbers, Willow Creek or CC Manor pits are good options. If size is what your looking for, Chester Woods is producing nice gills and the Zumbro will give up huge gills and crappies. There are also nice rainbow trout in Foster Arends.
