I have a Strike Master Lazer Mag 8" auger with a 10" extention which I bought last spring. The auger has been used just enough to get it broke in. Has drilled maybe 300 holes in the 5 outings it's been used.

Price: $310 ***SOLD***

I also have a Strike Master Mag 2000 8 1/4" auger with a 12" extention. This auger is about 6 years old and had the carberator gone through by strikemaster last spring. Runs like new now and the paperwork is available for the repair if anything should go wrong with it( I really doubt there will be any issues as they do very good work there).

Price: $190 ****SOLD****

I live in the St. Cloud area and commute daily to Milaca area. If interested email me at: jeffonthewater at aol com

Hey Borch, you sure are a busy beaver cutting da ice when you go fishing! Did you mean 30 holes? wink.gif

No I'm a runner and gunner. When I go up to URL I generally start out by dring 30-50 holes before I even drop a line. When the bite is really slow like this past weekend I make swiss cheese looking for them.

The mag 2000 has had relatively less use than that in it's life. The more agressive fishing style is a more recent development for me. wink.gif

i might be interested, is there a reason that you are getting rid of the newer one??

thx

I'll looking to free up some cash for a new nilsmaster.

The auger works great and really has just been used enough to break it in. Has started everytime this winter within 2-3 pulls.

Borch, are these still for sale ?

I will be fishing 4-5 times a year and maybe 2-3 times up north where we drill 20-30 holes...which would you recommend ? Is the Lazer a Lazer mag express ?I know the Lazer mag digs really nice, does the mag drill itself or do you have to lean on it ?

I have someone looking at the Mag2000 this weekend. So I'll know more about it after that.

The Lazer Mag Express is still available. As far as leaning on the Lazer Mag Express goes, it's not a need. It cuts with minimal pressure applied. Pretty light weight as well.

I will vouch for this I have the Lazer Mag Express and there is absolutely no need to push down, it pulls itself right in and cuts fast, I picked mine up as a refurb. I would definetly purchase this auger again.

Pop ups have increased for me for a while now.  Timed to cover my usual taps about the time I would tap.

So there is a boat on a friend's property, has been there for about 4 years, with no contact from owner, and she is unreachable. It was last registered in 2020. Is there any way for him to make it his, legally?

I'm getting a lot of popups adds. Just wondering if it's just my computer or is every one getting them?

Birds at home have been quiet and out of sight.  Not sure where they went.  Last year they wouldn’t respond to calls - until they did.  But that will be common until the girls quit being friendly.

I've seen about 60 turkeys in 1.5 days of hunting thus far.  Unfortunately they are not responding to calls or decoys and the only birds that have walked within range are hens.   It's just a waiting game now.  Deer hunting for turkeys, hoping a legal one walks past before I have to quit in a few days...

A bunch of webcams available these days to see progress as well:   https://lakevermilionresorts.com/webcams/   Looks to be pulling away from shore. I expect ice out between next Friday and Sunday based on temps in the forecast.  Some sun and then some wind would get it going quickly.

But wait Meg, there's more!   Anyway, do you like fishing?  Trolling's kind of fun!  🤭
    • leech~~
Well lol, Google is your friend! 🤭     Yes, the 2012 movie "Loon Lake" was filmed in Minnesota. Specifically, it was shot in southwest Minnesota, with locations including Round Lake, Pioneer Village, and Jackson County. The film is also based on a local legend from southwest Minnesota about a witch who lived by Loon Lake.

Well indeed there is a movie and the trailer will help you near down the 25 lakes a lot by just checking into the Loon Lakes in Southwest, MN.  Should be easy now. Have fun.    Eager to escape the grief and nightmares of the city, Louis Olsen travels to Southwest Minnesota, seeking the peace of the rural countryside. When he accidentally disturbs the grave of a supposed local 'witch' Mary Jane Terlinden, what began as a peaceful reprieve unravels into a haunting nightmare from which Louis cannot escape - but is it all just in his head?

Great. That's usually a good sign for ice break-up.
