LX-3 & LX-1 Deals at Dick's Sporting Goods

I was just in Dick's (off I-394 in the cities) today over lunch looking for something and of course they don't have what I'm looking for. confused.gif

Anyway, they had an endcap in the fishing department with last years LX-3's for $290 (approx.) and LX-1's for $190 (approx.) new in box.

$190 is one heck of a deal for an entry level flasher without zoom such as the LX-1.

I'm not toooooo positive on how great a deal this is but thought I'd pass that pricing along.

I stopped at the Woodbury Dick's today and the LX3 was on sale for 279. 15% off remaining ice shelters and augers too.

yeah I just picked up the LX-3 at dicks for $279+ tax at dicks in Minnetonka (off 394/Hopkins Crossroads)

One of those lx3s and an up-grade for 50 ducks and you have one very nice unit! The lx3 is a dandy unit at that price without the up-grade.

What is the $50 upgrade?

Was just at Dick's by Ridgedale. They have the LX-1 on sale for $170. Also clearance off their FL_8 and FL-18 Vexilars. I don't remember exact prices, but I think they were $30 off their normal prices on these models. Lowrance X67c Ice Machine was $250 and the M68 Ice Machine was $400. There were definitely some good deals to be had.

Pop ups have increased for me for a while now.  Timed to cover my usual taps about the time I would tap.

So there is a boat on a friend's property, has been there for about 4 years, with no contact from owner, and she is unreachable. It was last registered in 2020. Is there any way for him to make it his, legally?

I'm getting a lot of popups adds. Just wondering if it's just my computer or is every one getting them?

Birds at home have been quiet and out of sight.  Not sure where they went.  Last year they wouldn’t respond to calls - until they did.  But that will be common until the girls quit being friendly.

I've seen about 60 turkeys in 1.5 days of hunting thus far.  Unfortunately they are not responding to calls or decoys and the only birds that have walked within range are hens.   It's just a waiting game now.  Deer hunting for turkeys, hoping a legal one walks past before I have to quit in a few days...

A bunch of webcams available these days to see progress as well:   https://lakevermilionresorts.com/webcams/   Looks to be pulling away from shore. I expect ice out between next Friday and Sunday based on temps in the forecast.  Some sun and then some wind would get it going quickly.

But wait Meg, there's more!   Anyway, do you like fishing?  Trolling's kind of fun!  🤭

Well lol, Google is your friend! 🤭     Yes, the 2012 movie "Loon Lake" was filmed in Minnesota. Specifically, it was shot in southwest Minnesota, with locations including Round Lake, Pioneer Village, and Jackson County. The film is also based on a local legend from southwest Minnesota about a witch who lived by Loon Lake.

Well indeed there is a movie and the trailer will help you near down the 25 lakes a lot by just checking into the Loon Lakes in Southwest, MN.  Should be easy now. Have fun.    Eager to escape the grief and nightmares of the city, Louis Olsen travels to Southwest Minnesota, seeking the peace of the rural countryside. When he accidentally disturbs the grave of a supposed local 'witch' Mary Jane Terlinden, what began as a peaceful reprieve unravels into a haunting nightmare from which Louis cannot escape - but is it all just in his head?

Great. That's usually a good sign for ice break-up.
