Had a simlar problem last year - found out that a locksmith uses a straight wire that has a groove spiraling down it. He simply twisted it into the deep groove of the broken off key tip then hooked a vise grip onto it and jerked it out. I thought to myself at the time that simply straightening a grooved paper clip and using it would work the same - worth a try anyway. grin.gif

Carefully straighten out a small fish hook. Leave the barb intact. Insert under key and try to workit out.

working at lumber yard that has locks and such, our hardware guy said a small wire with a dab of JB Weld on it works too. Wait for the JB Weld to set up pull right out.

However....outside in the cold might be hard to work with.

Just an idea
