angle report

Fished the angle from 14th-17th group of four. Drove sleds across the lake from Baudette pulling portables. Very rough ice out about 5 miles. The first two days were awsome. Many fish over 20", biggest 25". Limited on Walleyes all 18"-19.5. Only one keeper Sauger. I think we could of caught more sauger if we moved to deeper water but the Walleye bite was to fun. It slowed down a bit once the cold front moved in on sat. Stayed at Flag Island resort.

Dan and the Dave were great. Awsome service. Gold Buckshot Rattler tipped with emerald shiner head worked best.

What area's did you fish? Reefs? Flats?

Questions to: Was your trip Guided or did you fish on your own. How far aprox. was it on sled to resort. Also if it wasn't guided did the resort give you some general areas to try. thanks in advance for reply.

From Baudette to Flag Island has to be 30-40 miles?

We are doing the same thing next month but staying on Oak Island.

Mostly reef fishing up there with not too far of a snowmobile ride to get to good areas.

I've never been up there in the winter, I usually just hit the big part of the lake, so I'm looking forward to it.
