I have a 10,000 btu non vented reddyheater. It heats great but it makes your eyes and nose burn after a while, not to mention the condensation it causes because it is not vented. Does anyone one know of any reasonabley priced heaters. Everyone has dicontinued their modles that a simple burner with a 3" vent. I would realy like to find a Pearson, Co. brand heater, which is no longer made. Please help!!!!!!

I have access to a new Pearson heater. Not sure of the BTU's but it is the bigger of the two models they made, approx 24" long.

Don't use that Big Buddy heater. It is a Big Joke. I sent mine back along with about 100 other people according to the Scheels people.

I thought it would be a good option, but it didn't run on high and didn't stay lit. The Little Budddy works great for my portable.

Did you send yours back this year or last, Hitman? I bought one this year that sure doesn't feel like it is putting out 18,000 BTU's. I haven't had any problems with it not staying lit, just with the heat output.

Are you willing to sell the pearson heater? I am interested. E-mail me at [email protected]

Speaking of the big buddy heater, I know there was a recall last year on them. Does anyone know if the problems were resolved. I was just about to buy one. Does anyone else think the heat output is not upto snuff or 18000 btu. Any information would be much help. Hate to waste 100 bucks on stuff that dont work.

I returned mine last January.

Recall -- This is what I understand. There was NOT a recall, as I understand it. They just had a lot of problems with the big ones. It had to do with running the big tanks. I guess the little portable (expensive) tanks worked, sort of. Still, they didn't put out the heat they should, but they did light and stayed running better.

I'm sure a lot of the tanks out there are last year's model and are not fixed. If, in fact, they did fix them. Buyer Beware!!! You couldn't pay me enough to use it as your primary heater, life and the fishing season is too short.

I thought it was a great idea -- the big tank. You could use it to warm a big house and take it with you. It just didn't work in real time. mad.gif

I bought one of the Big Buddy Heaters. There was a recall. They supposedly fixed the problem. Didn't get mine back until near the first of March. By then, I didn't need it anymore. I have only been ice fishing twice this year and didn't have the confidence in it to drag it out to the middle of a lake only to find it still might not work. If I get out again, I will try it, but I will have backup handy until I'm sure it will work.

Pop ups have increased for me for a while now.  Timed to cover my usual taps about the time I would tap.

So there is a boat on a friend's property, has been there for about 4 years, with no contact from owner, and she is unreachable. It was last registered in 2020. Is there any way for him to make it his, legally?

I'm getting a lot of popups adds. Just wondering if it's just my computer or is every one getting them?

Birds at home have been quiet and out of sight.  Not sure where they went.  Last year they wouldn’t respond to calls - until they did.  But that will be common until the girls quit being friendly.

I've seen about 60 turkeys in 1.5 days of hunting thus far.  Unfortunately they are not responding to calls or decoys and the only birds that have walked within range are hens.   It's just a waiting game now.  Deer hunting for turkeys, hoping a legal one walks past before I have to quit in a few days...

A bunch of webcams available these days to see progress as well:   https://lakevermilionresorts.com/webcams/   Looks to be pulling away from shore. I expect ice out between next Friday and Sunday based on temps in the forecast.  Some sun and then some wind would get it going quickly.

But wait Meg, there's more!   Anyway, do you like fishing?  Trolling's kind of fun!  🤭

Well lol, Google is your friend! 🤭     Yes, the 2012 movie "Loon Lake" was filmed in Minnesota. Specifically, it was shot in southwest Minnesota, with locations including Round Lake, Pioneer Village, and Jackson County. The film is also based on a local legend from southwest Minnesota about a witch who lived by Loon Lake.

Well indeed there is a movie and the trailer will help you near down the 25 lakes a lot by just checking into the Loon Lakes in Southwest, MN.  Should be easy now. Have fun.    Eager to escape the grief and nightmares of the city, Louis Olsen travels to Southwest Minnesota, seeking the peace of the rural countryside. When he accidentally disturbs the grave of a supposed local 'witch' Mary Jane Terlinden, what began as a peaceful reprieve unravels into a haunting nightmare from which Louis cannot escape - but is it all just in his head?

Great. That's usually a good sign for ice break-up.
