hi guys! is the ice thick enough for a pick-up truck? someone mentioned taking "wheelers" out. didn't know if they meant like a polaris.....or a 4x4 truck. how much ice is there?

15 inches most places, that includes the 4 or so inches of whitish worthless stuff. I've heard of 8 to 10 inches under the bigger snow drifts. Also in some places the ice has "sunk" under the wieght of the snow creating slush up to 2 feet deep. There is most likely not much ice under those places.

As far as pickups each road is a little different. Most are letting smaller trucks out.

Hey Kelly, with the upcoming forecast do you think the resorts will be letting full size trucks out on Christmas? We are heading up Christmas Day and have reservations at The Royal Shooks. Ill see you in January, we have one of your sleepers rented. Thanks for the info.

I hope it makes ice quick, i checked the 15 day forcast and it is not good for making ice dec 22 on. even a day or two with above 32 temps.
