There has been talk here of Brad Johnson and his leadership of the re surging Vikings and the lack of leadership? by Cullpeper. My vote for leadership is Joe Kapp... ugly passes ugly wins but teams followed him any where he went..The guy had swagger and when he was in the huddle there was no one talking but him and you ran the route he called..I don't see any of that out there now, Maybe Farve but he might be the last of an old breed..

I don't know about leadership in a broad sense but I can say with 100% confidence that WR's aren't out there running what ever route they feel like. There are set plays called in from the coaches, the QB just relays that info to the others on the field or it is sent in with a subsitute coming into the game.

I think what I want to see in the NFL these days in leadership from coaches and the front office guys. Stop letting the athletes run wild, clamp down and law down the law with these guys. 10-20 years ago Terrel Owens would have played his last game already if he pulled the same stuff he is pulling now.

If anyone can lead a team on the field it is Peyton Manning. I think the coaches are just there for show with that guy, it seems that they give him 3-4 plays to choose from and then he picks the one that will work with the defense he sees. No one else in the league can do that, no one else can even come close to pulling that off. He is by far the best.

From what I heard about Peyton is that the coaches tell him run right pass left and then he calls the play they just give him the direction. That is what QB did in the past but Peyton is the only one schooled in the game to be able to do it now. I would like to see Cullpeper have that experience. This reminds me of a saying that coach Greene would say about the Vikings that the QB is there just to drive the car.. Brad drives better I think

I think Culpepper was driving with a blood alcohol content of over .08 this year. He is better then he showed this year.

The only Vikings QB that could play better drunk than sober was Tommy Kramer grin.gif

I think that they should put Cpep up on the block and see what they can get for him. A high draft pick to get a young qb to study under Johnson. just my 2 cents.

There’s critters out and about.  Get yourself some cellular trail cams and you’ll see.

It wouldn't be the first time I've heard the USS Skunked Again breaking ice! I left this morning, the rain really did a number to the ice. I'll bet the Partridge River will be open by the weekend.

My yard is pretty open, but narrow. I think I'll be fine with reception in the areas I'm thinking. I try to keep the hill somewhat natural, but my wife wants to see the lake better. The video's I've watched, they have topped the trees and mounted the dish. I would this the swaying would affect the signal. Does Starlink help you with using WiFi for calling? My T-Mobile service sux at the cabin. Did you bury your cable?

I'm on the wide part of the channel going in to Black Bay. We won't see Paul B. For years.

Welcome back. Wow it's been since 2018 it looks like. Did you ever "I'm tightening up my footprint and want to build on my Bozeman lot on the Gallatin"?  😏

You're probably right. This isn't official since I've already lost, but I'll make my supplemental guess for May 6th since it's still open. 😄   As long as I can snake my way along the shore and/or plow through some dark ice on the 8th, I'll be happy. I love aluminum boats!

For all of my "problems" with getting a clear signal it's worth it. I can spend more time at the lake because I can work during the day and play or get things done at night. Toss in that I can record and watch a football/hockey/basketball game when I'm done at the end of the day....priceless.   Like your place, our property is more natural and I was worried about having to cut down a bunch of trees. I like that people have to get up close to see our place from the lake through the trees. Luckily I didn't have to do much to get enough a signal that works for me. If I needed to be on video calls, I probably would run the dish down to the shore to get a better view of the sky.   BTW - the main problem with mounting the dish on a tree is that the tree still has a canopy that will block the signal. The best option would be to top a tree and then mount it on the clear-cut top.
