The highlight of the show is usually the "OTTER GIRLS" and the jerky stand. It is good humor watching the guys stand around the otter display right as you go down the stairs to the show gauking at the ice house models. God we men are dumb, no way those women wearing those clothes, or lack there of, are gonna be anywhere near a frozen lake all year long.

Have a great time down here this weekend. Maybe you will see something new that you dont already know about, but not likely. Have a great trip to the city and remember how lucky you are that you dont have to live here full time.

Nels Im betting its your ducer. Thats what it looks like when it starts to go. Talk to the guys at the booth and they will give ya contact info. Since you will be there anyways. If we had more time you could try my ducer and see if that solves the problem. Ill be away for a few days with my Father In Laws Funeral up north.

Hopefully I will be back by Thursday and get down to the show early Friday.

The show is all weekend at the River Center,(next to Excel) in St. Paul. Not sure when it opens up in the mornings but it usually runs fairly late like 8 or 9 on Friday and Saturday night. Parking is $10 and will run you another $8-$10 per person to get in.

The show is OK and a great way to burn a few hours with the kids or buddies. I usually go hoping to find something new and exciting. There is always somebody with a new lure,a "sneaky pete" bait. I buy it because I always forget that lures like the swedish pimple and jigging raps have been around for so long because they work the best and the thing sits in the box and never gets used. The otter people usually bring girls that get stared at. I am not sure if they are that great or if the engineering class theory is in place. The engineering theory is that there are no women in any of the classes and the guys in those classes, which included me at one point in time, end up having cloudy judgement. When a girl does finally show up at a class she looks like the next Cheryl Tiegs, but appearances are a relative thing.

The jerky stands are outstanding, but the refreshments and food are overpriced. Hope you enjoy the show and if you see a fool that bought some kind of stupid looking battery powered, automatic hook setting, fish attracting, hot pink, purple and blaze orange quadruple trebled, jigging spoon, it is most likely me.

Backcast, IllTakeWhatiCanGet, Quickstrike and I are going first thing Sat. morning. Doors open 10am on Sat and Sun. We might stop at REI in Burnsville and Cabela's in Rogers. Might have room for 1 or 2 more, were taking my van. Anyone wants to go let me know.

Joel, if you stop at the Cabela's in rogers be sure to check out the Fish Repos on display. We made a bunch of fish for them including a hammerhead shark and a alligator gar.

Not sure if I can go but the nice thing is I could walk to the show if I wanted to. Sometimes its nice living in St. Paul. Actually I really like it here.
