Reckless lakehome owner (Lake Martha)

I would just like everyone to have a heads up on an incident on Lake Martha this evening. I was out fishing with a couple of buddies this evening and we had a couple of incidents with home owners running their pontoon boats very close to us while fishing.

Later on in the evening, I had this one individual drive his pontoon boat full speed between me an a dock. There was about 20 feet between me and the dock. Then he proceeded to make laps around me at high speed and swearing at me. I calmly put my gear away, and moved toward the access.

I then called my buddies in to make sure they know what was going on, since they didn't see it. I then had two of the home owners come over that saw the incident, and apologized for what had happened. After a little encouragement, I called the sherrif's office. I was able to get the name of the individual from one of the neighbors there.

Eventually, an officer was sent out. I was able to obtain the name of the person, and the officer was sent to see him. Unfortunately, the individual was sitting on the shore, but was obviously intoxicated and was very beliggerant to the officer, but there was nothing he could do.

The officer suggested that if something like this happens again to call 911 immediately and report it so they can make an arrest on the water. I was in such shock I didn't make the 911 call. I have had a few words with folks on this lake, but never anything like this. This was completely unacceptable. I am just glad my kids were not with me, since I had just dropped them off at the house.

I'm sure some of you fish this lake, but I wanted to give everyone a heads-up.

sluggomaster, if you would have called the sheriff right after. You could and may be still can file a complaint of fisherman harassment. Which could land that ol'boy in a pile if fines.

Now, How did you do out on martha, i have thought fishing it but, fishing others seemed like a better idea.

Needless to say, it was a great evening, except for the incident.
