How do you do with the lakers on Cherokee? Am thinking about a canoe trip in there this Sept and need some confirmation that there's a good population in there. The most recent DNR report isn't much help. Thanks. JS

Cherokee Lake does have Lakers, reports the folks at the Outfitters at Sawbill Lake. They have a website, (easy to find) and some photos of Cherokee Lakers are present in the Newsletter.

Fall on Cherokee Lake sounds like a good time.

I haven't been to Cherokee for quite awhile, and then only in late May. We always did well on lakers of about 5 to 8 lbs average. One thing--- you will not find a more beautiful lake.
