Wading Metro Waters?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any suggestions of places around the metro where you could put on waders and walk down a river/Lake to fish for crappies/smallies/walleyes?

What area of the metro are you looking at? I know most the north eastern metro lakes, but would be of no help for someone fishing any other area.

Are there any good spots to get to via waders? Lake or River to fish for crappie/Walleye/Smallies?

kacz,

Try the Mississippi-North forum. I know there's quite a few guys on there that wade the Miss for smallies.

The St. Croix would have a bunch of spots that are mostly shore fishing, but you could wade out onto some of the flats or points and get out to pretty deep water.

If it was a different time of year I could help you out with a couple spots, if you had a email address I could help you out alittle bit near White Bear Lake. I would guess any creek/river outlet at either the Mississippi or St. Croix would be prime spots to wade also.

Kacz,

You should do some off shore angling for some muskies near Bayport on the St Croix.
