South East end--anything doing?

Recommended Posts

I was invited to chase some eyes this weekend and we are staying in Isle. Is there some action down on the gravel bars or would the best bet be to trailer the boat closer to the mud flats? Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Muskieguy........

was up the last 2 weekends on the mud battling the wind, the bite wasn't fast and furious, but it was constant. boated some nice fish (22" - 26" ers)and a couple keepers, most were too big though. went to the south end last sunday for the day and hit a ton of small eyes on a rock pile out of wahkon, there was one 22" and one 16" mixed in with all the 13"-14"s down there. the perch were crazy, no jumbo's though. to me it seemed like the mud was where the big girls were hanging out and the rock piles/reefs were holding more of the small eaters.

good luck!
