Been there many times. Ive come in from Round,Brule and Poplar. Winchell is clear and deep. Throw spoon's for Huge Northern's. Fish the bay with the tall Island along with a few finger bays. You will be there at a good time for shallow laker's. I'd fish 15 to 25 ft. for them. Troll or set out smelt.
Spent some time in Gaskin for walleyes. Ive said it before, fish the wind blown shore after a warm day. What lake are you entering from?

If you head out early you will have plenty of time to fish on your way in. The Cones are good for walleye. Theres a place there that looks like the Hamm's Beer Comercial. Winchell can be tough fishin so dont be afriad to try other water. I used to camp on the tall Island when it was ok to,now you cant. Theres a nice camp site on the north side of the lake on a point as your headed east. Good luck,ST.
