Look at my pic..........I got it in Cass and it's nowhere near some fish I've seen in there. I've heard of a 58 some time ago. Sir Brian has a large one in his boat.

Thanks. That was a 50" on a ????? it was a spinnerbait....I can't remember what color it was......red and yellow I think. Red is a good color on Cass. My biggest muskie to date. I've caught probably 25 or so on Cass over the past 7 years or so, with 4 fish over 48". My cousin has had pretty good luck as well 52 1/2" and a 50", my dad got a 50 1/4", another guy in our group has a 50.

I saw one a couple years back that was every bit of 55". They're in there.

MY WIFE CAUGHT A 36"ER LAST YEAR UP BY THE POTATO ISLANDS AND A 48"ER THE YEAR BEFORE ON THE BACK SIDE OF CEDAR ISLAND. NOT SURE WHAT I AM DOING WRONG. I CAN'T SEEM TO CONNECT WITH ONE. SHE DOESN'T FISH FOR MUSKY REALLY. SHE USES BASS TACKLE AND LURES. I'M THROWING THE HEAVIER STUFF. WE USUALLY GO TO CASS IN SEPTEMBER FOR TWO WEEKS. WE EVEN GOT PAUL NELSON FOR A GUIDE ONE YEAR. I THINK I'M JUST A MUSKY JINX, HE DIDN'T CATCH A MUSKY EITHER WHEN HE WAS WITH US. MAYBE SOMEDAY.

I raised one last year that was easily 56-58 inches...just sat behind the boat and waddled behing my topwater. There was a 58.5 incher caught two years ago and kept, prior to that one of my clients and two other guys caught 54 inchers...there are big fish here!

Just think what is laying out in the middle of Cass growing old if we are seeing 50"+ fish boated on a regular basis. That is one "Class A" body of water.

Lundrider, your not a Musky jinx, you just had the wrong guide. Give Brian Jones a try. Worked for me!! On the water less than 1 hour and had a 46" in the boat. Maybe just good luck, no I dont think so, Brian knows the water and is a class act. Rick U.

I can't pass up the chance to brag a little about the muskie I caught in Cass Lake last fall. It was 48in. WOW! My knees just shook. It was so fun! With the help of my husband, it was a team effort! It may not be the biggest fish, but it was "BIG" to me!!ha-ha We are going back up to Cass next week and needless to say my relatives that are going along with will be looking for the mother of this fish to catch!!!! I know it's in there!!!!

First open water fishing this morning. Planed to go to Clearwater but water was 6 inches over docks. Drove over to Sylvia/Twin and access was great. Water very clear, could see bottom in more than 12 ft.  Caught several sunfish and bass. 2 northerns and a crappie. Most went back including a 9.5 in male sunny. Beautiful fish. Most caught in less than 3 ft water.  Temp was 61.

We are high up on the hill so no worry of water damage, but our electrical box wasn't too far from the rising lake water. I hope that issue doesn't start hitting others as well!

I was up for opening weekend, but only fished Saturday morning. I had a limit by 6:30 so headed back to the cabin to get work done. In about an hour I lost 2 on the way to the boat, boated a 13" that I threw back, and kept a 14, 15, 16, 17. Nice size eaters. Jig and minnow in 15-20 FOW.  Water temps where I was fishing was 41.    I have damage to 2 docks and several trees down. I hope this water level goes down soon! Good luck everyone.

Opener was decent on Saturday and absolutely on fire Sunday. 9 eyes, three over 25 in, one at 28.5. A bunch of largemouths, some crappie and perch and a TON of bullhead. One of those weekends where your hands start to hurt.

I'm quite happy since I'm going fishing with a pal for the first time in a long time. We plan to purchase some clothing for it, such as exclusive hoodies.

The majority of docks can't be put it. Water is over the top of pretty much every permanent dock.  Very few docks are in.

Crappies are all up shallow in the south metro. Caught this one shore fishing with a beetle spin from a more secluded lake without much access. All of the crappies were between 7-9 inches with this 11.5" being the exception
