Does any one know where I can purchase a contour map of Birch Lake that is 8 miles south of Ely?

Hey SF have you found anyway to to use the Depth maps from the DNR and start plugging in GPS Coord. I have the Del. Topo Series but I cannot find a way to transfer depth and wayppoints. [email protected]

Hi Loadmaster, I dont know of any software to interface the 2. I use Maptech Terrian Navigator. Its USGS maps with some lake depths. Its fun looking at lakes with it then go to DNR lake survey and see whats in it. I use it all the time to plot coarse's.

hey, you can get a usgs map of birch in ely at tryggs land office. don't hassel with gps bull**** ,you won't need it. the lake is a winding river system (reservor) of about 19 miles of fishable water. max depth is 30 ft, mean depth around 20-25. stained water with disc reading at 6ft. danger areas are marked by bouys from timber bay resort.

Loadmaster, I looked at the maps. Its going to take some time frogin around like any new software. Im just starting to set up routes with it. Its nice to have the rest of the state. I might have to make an interface cable. Thanks for the maps.I will get the CD's in the mail mon.
Did you try out my Maptech yet? If you go to maptech you can download the seamless and 3-d update. Later, ST.
