OK I have a quick question I'm thinking about going up to Snowbank this weekend and trying my luck at catching a laker or two. What should I use? How deep to fish? And any other help would be great.

Thanks,
Just Walleyes.....

I use to fish Snowbank every winter for Lakers, but haven't done so in the past few years. What I did in the past was jig little cleos, swedish pimples, and airplane jigs tipped with a small sucker or large chub.

I also used a tip-up with a cisco on the bottom or a live sucker placed at various depths. As for location you can talk to the resort owner on Snowbank or just fish around the other houses out on the lake. Typically, I fish off the islands anywhere from 15ft to 80ft deep. Keep moving around if there is no action, especially your tip-ups.

I will be up there Sunday also, first time in a while. If the lakers are not biting, you probably can bet on an eel pout or two.
