Rain pants/bibs question

Since the weather looks pretty brutal for Saturday, I'll have to break out the bibs for the first time - have never worn any before. Here's my (kinda dumb) question - what do you wear under these (they're 100% nylon) - jeans, sweatpants??? Thanks

My rain gear covers whatever I happen to be wearing when it comes to the bibs.. the jacket sometimes need to be a bit more thought out so you dont freeze, or bake underneath when your in full gear... nothing like basking in sweat for hours on end... but at the same time, your better off with more than what you need, than less and freezing.

Make sure your gear is a little oversized so you can fit a layer or 2.

If I know I'm going to be out in the rain for a long time I generally put on the fleece wader liners I use when fly fishing. More important than that is to wear wool socks, at least they can keep you warm when it's wet.

If they are not insulated they will actually feel cold when they get wet. Jeans and long underwear if not to cold out, for Saturday I would wear long underwear and fleece pants.

Normally you should dress in layers when you are going up unknown weather conditions. BUT if you are fishing this weekend, you'll be seeing 40-45 degrees w/ 10-30mph NW winds.

THIS transulates to wearing long underwear and polar fleece or long underwear and jeans! It will be cold and damp this weekend so dress like you are sitting on a bucket out on the hard water

I like to wear jeans under my rain gear. But I tell my fishing buddies that I am naked just to make them wonder. I also wear a yellow t-shirt with a rainbow on it that says "Smile if your Gay"
