State Record Musky????

I have been hearing rumors that Mille Lacs produced a new state record muskie that was caught and released. I think this is a hoax because if it was true it would be all over this board. But I maybe wrong.

Dano,

That fish was no hoax! It was on this board when it was caught. Mille Lacs is capable of producing the next state record and some even predict the next world record. These fish do have incredible growth rates and time will only tell. I have seen several absolutly huge muskies and I lost one last fall that still gets my knees shaking. And I'm not talking about 50 inchers either. I know I have seen a couple in the mid 50 inch range.

There's still time to get the big one!

I guess I was just a late comer to the party. No Doubt in my mind that the next state record will come out of Mille. I just wasn't sure if it had already been done, and I was in the dark 'bout finding out.

The 55 inch muskie caught by Terry Blood on the web page one back from here was pushing 50 lbs according to the article on McQuoids website. That was a couple years ago, C&R, so she's at or likely beyond the 54 marker!

Think about what size the 48-52 inchers we all see out the will be in a few years.... That gets my knees shaking!

I talk to jason about 1 week after they caught that fish he gave a speech about it at the millacs muskie tournament I know there is fish that size and bigger I 've been muskie fishing milleacs for 8 years I and have seen some real hogs caught out of there infact prefishing for that tournament my dad caught a 54in muskie on the exact same spot that 51 was caught on.SO that is no hoax

Our next door neighbor knows the guy that caught the fish. It was in Cove bay. I know where i am headed from now on the rest of the year and start of season next year.

I have heard that it was not caught in Cove Bay. Along with other things?? Either way I know it came out of Mille Lacs.
