I have a 2001 MinnKota #55 trolling motor. I wired it up to a brand new Cabela AGM 24 series battery dual purpose. It ran like for 20 minutes against strong current with my copilot and then beeped a few times and stopped responding.
After changing to another battery which is a solely deep cycle Trojan 27 series, it continued to run but the copilot was not working no more although I had just changed to battery on the remote the day before.
After another 20-30 minutes, I get another series of beeps. I press the charge status of the trolling motor and it says recharge. I check my battery with my portable battery status indicator and they are both still full.
I might have missed a guess, but here are the ones that I noted:
JerkinLips – March 27th, then April 7th
Brianf. – March 28th
Bobberwatcher – April….
MikeG3Boat – April 10th
SkunkedAgain – early April, then April 21st
Definitely a tough year for guesses, as it seemed to be a no-brainer early ice out. Then it got cold and snowed again.
