Kathio State Park/Boat Landing

My wife and I are heading up to Kathio to stay for the weekend and I was wondering where the nearest boat landing is. Also, any recomendations for areas near Kathio to try for a few walleyes. We like trolling with lindy rigs but I'd also be willing to try slip bobbers. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. We'd also be willing to trailer the boat to a further landing if it offers better fishing, thanks in advance for the help.

There is an DNR access north of the casino at Rolands Bay. We fish out of there when camping at Kathio. Easy to hit Indian Point, Shermans and Duane's flat in Rolands Bay.

There's a landing at the park and you can fish upstream to the dam. Depending on water level, you can go downstream into Shakopee Lake or there's a landing on the lake as well a short drive from the campground. I've caught an assortment of walleye, crappie and bass on the lake working the east-west break on the north side. You can find a contour map on the DNR site.
