Hey I'm Staying at Fishers Resort this weekend. Any Suggertions Where to fish for eater size eyes?
Any Crappie Action?
How about Jumbo Perch?

Agate reef is nearby and generally holds some fish this time of year. I'd look around the edges with electronics until I graphed something, then maybe backtroll with a lindy and leech through anything that looked fishy. Evening slip bobber fishing should also produce.

head out to the 1 and 1/4 mile rock piles. That usually holds fish. Had the camera down while drifting and saw awesome rock configurations holding perch and walleye in the same areas, even during the day.
Check with the launch operator. They want to put fish in the boat so they can get repeat customers. keep your distance from them though. Give them the respect they deserve. They know where the fish seem to be active.

Well I had a grat day yesterday. The weather was fantastic. Too bad the fishing wasn't as great as the weather. My group went out from Fishers and spent 4 hours on the lake and I only caught 1 jumbo perch. That was the only thing caught out of 17 on the launch. Our launch Captain said he has been skunked alot already this year and that it was his worst in many. I had a great time though, Was with good friends and like I said it was a beutiful day.

that is unfortunate that happened. Usually the captain of the launch will keep their distance. They should know that it is a bit harder to navigate a large boat when the wind or volume of boats is higher than normal.
I would make sure that the next time you see them (eddy's) coming, just move to another spot. There are millions of 'em.

I totally disagree. Why should someone have to move when a launch comes along? It is their responsibility to watch out for you especially if you're anchored. I would have been ticked off and I guarantee you Eddy's would have been paying to have my boat repainted. That's just plain ignorance!!!

I think we are missing some of the story here. According to the story on the page, it was almost like there was nowhere else for this guy to park....why would they park right next to someone? If the launch hit the guy after his anchor broke off, wouldn't that mean that his motor didn't start or something out of the ordinary happened and the result was unfavorable to the guy in the little boat.
All I'm saying is that if the circumstance appears to show itself again, just move out of there to avoid something like this happening again. If the boat was damaged, any person would go to the resort and complain. A free meal is not the answer. My point is that I don't think you have to move when the launch is near, I would just clear out to the next spot, to avoid it happening again. Yes I'd give him an earful. Does that mean the launch captain will think again when anchoring? Probably not.

I hate launch chasers, but I hate it even more when a launch pull's up right next to your boat. They complain about boats fishing close to them they shouldent come fish right next to your boat, my friend was anchored last year and a launch pulled up right next to him, anchored, then broke free and crashed into his boat. This was eddy's launch and it pushed my friend off the spot and messed up there fishing, not to mention scratch up his boat. This was one of eddies Launches and eddies dident do anything, they dident even give my friend a free dinner they just said sorry.
