some one has MONEY! Goplens trailer park & shoreview was sold & they are going to bulid condo's around the south west corner of the lake. there goe's some more nice place's down the drain.

And the tax base goes up, too. Good thing is that the buyers will probably be golfers.

Another reason to keep resort taxes in check. Ma and Pa resorts are being put out of business and being bought up by developers. If somethings not done pretty soon average people will only have campgrounds and public accesses near lakes!

The taxes may have something to do with it but I think the big reason is that lakeshore property has gotten so valuable that people are trading in that 16 hour plus a day job for the cash.Either way I see resorts becoming a thing of the past and the public accesses becoming more crowded.Bummer!!
