Isle Bay

I will be doing some fishing on or around Isle Bay, depends on where the shack is. Where should a guy try to fish to get some eyes and some nice perch? Should I find the rocks, go deep... you know the story.

Help please.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry about the limited response, but the bite is slowing(as if it wasn't fast and furious already). With the cold weather there are even less people that want to attempt the big pond. For walleyes and perch your best bet around the Isle area would be gravel or rocks and moving around to find active fish. The cold temps make it hard to do this right now. You will be able to find some pike in Isle bay as well. Use large shiners to attrack bigger pike.

Thanks Adam!!!

I bet it's cold up there! I hope our house is set in a good spot and not to far away from the rocks. I'll have to brave the cold and use the portable.

Again thank you!

ssendek,

How did you do on Mille Lacs? Interested to hear how Isle Bay treated you. Did you have any action at all??

Well... what can I say....
fishing was slow. LOTS of 4 - 6 inch perch but only one 8 1/2 inch. Got 1 eel pout about 15 inches and one dandy 13 1/2 inch crappie!

Other than that, no eyes. One rattle moved but nothing at the end of the line.
