were to go with the kid

Thinking about going over there soon with the kid to do some ice fishing.. portable style. But by the sounds of it.. it is a hit and miss thing on the eyes... and suggestions on were to start at? I have a wheeler and will probably bring that... but should I start in the rocks.. shallow or head out deeper to the flats.... and ideas?

Ethan: Sounds like Scott Steil, and Adam have been doing pretty decent on the west side near Rocky Reef area. Not a lot of numbers but some nice fish. Don't know if they are right on the rock pile or on the transtiion further out. I've got a perm on the east side at Mac's and its been slow over there. Moved the house yesterday over Hennepiin a few miles into 28' with a nice drop to 30' hope this will increase the action. Good luck, and hang on. Bill
