12 inches in the Twin Bays. Mac's is pulling out privates and rentals now. Not past Hawksbill point due to a large crack. My house goes out on Saturday, I can't wait. Anyone else already in that area doing any good? On what and when? Thanks.

I was in 24ft of water. Nothing to great had 2 reels go off over the night. By the time i got there they were gone. Perch in the morning were great, few 10" and over. Be back up on sunday-tuesday. Let you all know how it went.

Fished over the weekend in 16 feet. One 10 inch eye. Lots of small perch, only 4 over 9 inches out of probably 70. Many were 3 or 4 inchers. Did get one over 11 inches. Everything shut down for me after dark.

Well is sounds like fishing is going good up there at the big pond. If I dont' go down to KS to do a little hunting I just may have to come up and drop a couple lines in the water.

Hey Shad
you say that you were catching the perch, eh? Where were you finding them, and waht were you getting them to hit on? I plan to try to make it up within the next week or so and any information that you could give to get me on them quicker would be very much appreciated. I hope that you do well this weekend and don't forget to post how you do.

Was up yesterday (12/26) out of Dickie's...$10.00 access fee (spendy)...limited on where to go due to "working crack" about a mile out...so fished the bay...started out in 12 fow over rocks - one eye (cigar) and no perch except bp's(baby perch)...fished 4 spots total...1st three spots ranged from 12 to 9 fow over rocks...last spot was 12 fow over sand/muck/little gravel...caught lots of perch...sorted out a half dozen for a meal...one 12" and the rest around 10"...left just after dark...good luck to anyone going up!

So the ice is still okay to drive on then I take it? We are renting out of Dickie's next weekend, and with the warm weather, was a little tentative to take the F-150 out on the ice. It is supposed to get cold again early next week, but I'm far from a regular ice fisherman, and the idea of my truck going through (a company vehicle at that) makes me nervous. I suppose drowning or getting hypothermia should also be a factor smile.gif , but the truck going through is my biggest concern.

Scott, are there any rock structures close to Dickie's anywhere? My buddies will be drinking in the rental, but I want to go out with my snowmobile and portable at dusk on Saturday afternoon and get a few walleyes before I start drinking with them. Do you have any suggestions for me? Any advice would be great. Anybody else?

There is are lots of areas to fish out from Dickies but I don't know how far they are letting people out. I am sure others fishing over there can help you out.

Het Iceman. Do yourself a favor and talk to the locals when you arrive. People at the bait shop, resort, gas station, on the lake. These are the people that will have the most up to date info. I drive a Dodge Ram on the lake every year but I do not take the info on this site as 100% accurate all the time. There are people that are bigger risk takers and it is impossible to know who is responding to your questions. I am heading up in an hour and I will probably drive today but I don't know yet. The house is currently sitting on 13-14" of ice yet what pressure ridges have opened, sealed, expanded, contracted, etc. in the last 2 days? 14" doesn't mean anything when their is a 5 foot wide pressure ridge wide open. Just use common sense and you will end up top water side 99% of the time. For the other 1% of the time, well, that's what we get for trying to drive trucks on lakes, but it beats walking out there!

A lot of the pressure ridges that had been froze are open now from all the water we had on the ice Saturday. It was quite a site!!!

That water had to do somewhere and most of it finds it way into cracks in the ice. We are still driving on but I would be careful around crack and especially the pressure ridges.

Hey wall-i-king,

I was getting them in 10 feet of water and sand. You could see them clearly it was kind of cool. One eye about 14" eye a few days ago but that was it. Caught the perch on a jigging rapala with a wax worm. Moved the house today to 25ft of water for the big eyes. keep you guys posted!

My name is HANNA HENRY .I want to give thanks to HAKEEM AHMED for bringing back my ex husband. No one could have ever made me believe that the letter I’m about to write would actually one day be written. I was the world’s biggest skeptic. I never believed in magic spells or anything like this, but I was told by a reliable source (a very close co-worker) that Trust is a very dedicated, gifted, and talented person,It was one of the best things I have ever done. My love life was in shambles; I had been through two divorces and was on the brink of a third. I just couldn’t face another divorce, and I wanted to try harder to make our relationship work, but my husband didn’t seem to care. and he broke up with me again . I was confused and did not know what to do again, rather they got in contact with HAKEEM AHMED. He did a love spell that made my husband come back to me. We are now very much happy with ourselves. HAKEEM AHMED makes him realize how much we love and need each other .This man is for REAL and for good . He can also help you to fix your broken relationship. I had my husband back! It was like a miracle! He suddenly wanted to go to marriage counseling, and we’re doing very, very well , in our love life . contact email [email protected] or text or add him up on whatsApp at: +27788392740 his web page http://astrologerastrology.com

I love pulling lead core but usually don't pull it out until later in the season.  Can you share depth and speed numbers that were working with lead?  Thanks.

Heading up early Saturday morning. Going to be a short, discombobulated trip this year. Starting with 4 of us but one has to leave to watch his son play in state (WI) baseball tournament on Tuesday. Rest of us are only there until Wednesday. Kind of disappointing but I'm thinking we'll have to make a trip in September as well.    Forecast calls for wind!

Those are cormorants and they are aggressive fish eaters.  I saw more last weekend than typical on vermilion.  Pretty common  on the east end but I don’t usually see much of any on the west which is where we were.  They eat a lot of fish and surprisingly large fish for their size so they aren’t great for the fish populations.     I can’t believe how fast the water warmed up.  We were seeing up to the high 70’s last weekend.  Typically mid June is mid to upper 60’s.  The Muskies didn’t seem to be too fired up with the quick warm up.  The ones we moved were lazy and would not go in to the turn.  Hopefully some more normal temps this week help.
