the night ban started on may 12 and goes until june 9th if i am not mistaken so there is no night fish to be had as of now hnope this helps.

and 10:00 means you dont fish until ten and than pull up it means you had better be at the acsess or off the lake by ten

I was hoping somebody could clear up some confusion i have as to when the night ban starts or started?? I keep reading posts about night fishing so i am a little confused? thanx for setting me straight..

The night ban started after openning weekend and I would assume people were writing about then.

Does this mean we can be on the water at 12am June 9th? Like on opener we could go out right at midnight but not before because you would have to be off the water Sunday June 8th at 10 PM but back on at 12am. That will be enough time for a beer and a sandwich then back out. Is that the way it works.

The night ban has been in effect for about 20 years and has nothing to do with the treaty. I was put in effect because the harvest was too great at night (before the gill nets). I will be on the lake at 12:01am , I am every year.

Brother in law and I were talking while heading in before the time limit: So if we now have the slot protecting the big females, why do we also need the night ban?

The night ban was put into effect to get anglers into the bars on the weekends. If you can only keep 4 fish, how would night fishing impact this? Makes no sense?
