Any one have any reports about the south end? I am assuming that it was tough to fish the south last weekend with the wind whpping. Going to head up this weekend, in the spring we usually do pretty good around Anderson's Reef and between there and Spirit. Anyway they say its going to be gorgeous, don't forget the sunblock!!!

I love watching the bobber go down to.

"It's hard to wait for the strike when the light is failing and the tick of the ten second countdown passes slowly. And yet, there is this delicious tension - this tension that fills the body with hope and anticipation. It is an ancient excitement, and it answers one of the whys of angling. The tension in a fishing line runs both ways."
-Paul Quinnett, Darwin's Bass

Wish I was fishing!

I thought Saturday was perfect for catching eyes, but the day bite was tough on the south end. we pulled in a couple nice fish during the day, but all the action started around 9:30pm.(I love watching that lighted bobber go down)We released about 11 or 12 nice eyes, all over 19 inches. It's tough to catch the small ones.

Good Luck

isnt the slot still 14 to 16 till after june 9 ? night ban is over.

EYE, no it is release of all fish from 17" to 28". It was to go into effect after the nite ban but between the big bite slowing down after last years perch hatch and the DNR figuring out that there are more walleye in the lake than there original calculations. The new slot went into effect on opener.

Benny- I Did not fish Agate reefs at all. I did do a fly by when I was heading to the north sand and did see quite a few boats in that area Saturday late morning. 90% of my fish came in 12-14ft sun-up and sundown fishing rocks.
Good luck this weekend.
