What is the ice report on West Battle Lake and the Turtle Lakes?

There are a handfull of permanents on Battle so there should be 5-6" - just my guess. Looks like there may be a pretty good pressure ridge out towards the middle running north/south.

me and a couple friends are planning on coming up to battle in mid january and i was wondering what the fishing is usually like around the south point area. that is where we plan on "base camping" at my cousins cabin. is there usually a lot of permanents around the point area or a lot of fishing pressure in general? where would some other good areas be on the western lobe of the lake? thanks for any info in advance...

Thank you for your response Frabillfisher. I was curious if there has been any activity along the south shore...from that hump east to the south tip.

What are the Walleyes and Crappies doing? I'd imagine the Jacks are plentiful...maybe even annoying at times.
