Ice access

Made a few phone calls concerning ice thickness and accessibility. Long Point is struggling with the effects of the wind from the last week. Rocky Point has had a large crack opening and closing all week dependent upon the direction of the wind so at this point there is no one fishing in that area. Zipple bay also had a crack open up, but it has since healed over and the is from 6-8" over the crack with about 10" around it. Morris Point and Pine Island seem to have the most consistant good ice as long as you stay out of the gap areas. I didn't talk to anyone who has been in Four Mile Bay by Wheelers Point. At this point it is strictly wheelers and snomobiles to access the lake. Cold Temps are on their way, but until the wind settles down for a bit it still may be a while in some areas.
