ICE ON POCKET?

JUST WONDERING IF ANYBODY COULD LET ME KNOW THE ICE CONDITIONS. THANKS AND HAVE A GOOD ONE!

i just got back from checking a few lakes, geneva, le homme dieu, mina and cowdry are all completely covered. i didnt have enough time to get down to pocket or little mary, but im betting they should be covered also.

definatly looking to get out someplace this weekend.

I would think there are a few smaller lakes around there that people have been ice fishing on the past week isn't there?

i have heard of people on oscar for the past week or so, and then reno.

i know pocket was still open before this past sat, half of little mary was still open also. both should be covered now.

as for anything safe, i think peopel where taking some real risks before the cold snap. i have the itch, but also have the paitence to wait.

I was on pocket 2 weeks ago Saturday 12/4, decent ice about 3-4 inches at that time(it could have changed since???), fish were not easy to find. This weekend looks promising for ice on most small lakes.

you didnt happen to be the guy coming off little mary that day? i drive a older black full size blazer. talked with a guy that drove a newer silverado?

Could have been me... My father-in-law and myself were out there from about noon til 2:30 that afternoon. I drive a black Silverado.

Tough fishing that day, but what the heck we were on the ice. It was the only fishable ice we found on that day of scouting for panfish.

Word of warning if you are venturing out on pocket. The southern part of the lake was wide open the day I was there. If there was a strong south wind any time between then and this past Saturday, ice conditions could have seriously deminished. The same day we were out on Pocket we saw Little Mary go from almost entirely covered to almost entirely wide open (all but the very west side). Hopefully it didn't fall victim to the wind, but a word of warning none-the-less.

i wasnt there sat, i stoped there on the monday after. there was a guy there with a silver berch metalic silverado, older cap on the box, out there by him self.
