Our fishing group is heading up in January. Just wondering where they typically have their roads headed too???

A group of us from work are going up in January also. I've never been up there in the winter, so it should be interesting!

My experience on Winnie (over several years) is that the resorts give you good info, and they plow roads to where the fish are. On Mille Lacs, each resort plows their road to "their" reef or flat --- but on Winnie, the roads go to where the fish are.

If you're trying to get maps or GPS coords before you get there, the guys at the resort might tell you where they think their roads will be. Good luck.

most of the roads will get you to the humps on the north end of the lake and from there you sould be able to go about anywhere.

We used Tamarack a couple years ago, and they went out to the river channel, we were the only people aorund and did well, had to sort through some, but ended up with some nice perch. They were nice people.
