last week of open water

Just a final note for open water this year:

Was on martha on wed. (crappies were in 4 feet of water with a small minnow)

Was on sarah turkey day( one bass and a bunch of perch in 17 feet of water with minnows and jig head.

Was on waverly friday(yes in the rain) picked up one wally in 30 feet of water(saw two more with a camera) also picked up some perch in 19 feet of water.

Its a sad day to put the boat away. How does everyone deal with it????????

Addict, Still hoping to get one more trip out on Buffalo on sat. Everyone talks about the first ice bite, but they miss the last open water bite.

Fishingaddict, as of how its yours. I'm waiting for the weather man to tell me I won't wreck the motor due to cold weather. I'm thinking of going out saturday or friday if it's warm enough.

Addict, Buffalo Lake froze over thursday nite. Looks like the boat may not float for the rest of this year. Unless it's in Red Wing fishing the Miss. River.

Addict, today my wife came up with the %^($#@ Honey do list. I said "my son are playing hockey today and I was taking to to the ice show after the games. So, much for the list do it in the morning. The ice show was kool, I booked a trip to sportsmans on LOTW for Dec. She may get to go if she's good. or nice. LOL

We'll have to get out some time. I'm getting some of the gear ready, but I still need to run out some the gas in my outbroad. Hoping for a red wing/ river trip.

I'm never sad about putting boat away. Cause I don't put the boat away, there is always open water in Red Wing. I had the boat on buffalo sunday after watching the vikings smell up the game I spent 2 hours. graphing and recording kings point. I how have 1 foot contour map of the area.
