My brother went down there about a week ago fishing off the shore. He said that someone caught ands released a gigantic walleye . . .he thought it weighed at least 8 lbs. My bro just caught seom eelpout and northern.

I also heard rumor that a 53 inch musky was caught (and kept) there a couple weeks ago.

I walked down there last wekend, and the water ws as high as I've seen in a LONG time. I'm guessing the river has raised at least 6 feet from this summer. In July and August, i could wade across most of the backwater from the dam close to the papermill. Thats not even feasable anymore.

Sorry for the late report. Fished for about 2 hrs and boated close to 20 EYE's (and missed just as many) plus a 42 inch Musky. Ill be back down there for sure.
