Tagged Fish

Does anyone know how many fish were tagged last year? I know it was an ongoing project thoughout the summer, just wondering if anyone knows how many they actually tagged. Scott Steil

I caught 2 already this winter and have not fished the lake more than a handfull of times. does anyone know what we are suppose to do with the numbers on the tag? if anything?

Go to the DNR web site. The fish tags have a number on them. They want you to record the number, the place you caught it, and the length. They ask some questions when you are filling out the form, online, or i believe you can call a number. I caught one this summer and did all that, then they send you info about the fish a couple of months later. Kinda cool.

The only information that I received from the DNR stated that “Over 20,000 walleyes” had been tagged.

thanks maniac I appreciate the info on that. I will have to give them a call and send it in. it was the first one I had caught this year since prefishing the MWC this past spring. was kinda an suprise. I appreciate the info.
