Fished last Friday around Battle Lake and saw some skim ice on the small corners of sloughs that didn't get any wind. Temp gauge didn't work while fishing so I don't know what main lake temps are. Did manage a few nice eyes though.

thanks, if anyone else can help now and in the future it would be appreciated. 260 miles is to far to drive to check water temp! can't wait until freeze up!

Axel, Have FLB give you my e-mail address. I live right up the road from your place. I have yet to meet you, but I always stop by and talk to your Dad when he is up. That being said. The shallow bay on "our" lake is starting to freeze over with temps in the mid teens the last couple of nights, but the forecast calls for highs in the 50s again next week. I figure ice fishing is at least a month away or more at best.

West Battle was 43 degrees this evening. No fish to report on my efforts. I've got to get more time in my schedule to figure out these fish. smirk.gif

Went out this morning to Ethel and Ottertail. Ethel was about 41 F and Ottertail was 40 F. No fish to report, but plenty of white caps. Took the boat to town and washed it up. Haven't winterized it yet, but am considering it real soon. It'd be nice if we had another week of mild temps then a dive in temp; somewhere around 0 or below for a couple of weeks.

Axel, I just sent you a e-mail. Still only a skim of ice on the shallow bay. Temps have just been too warm.
