Spirit Island....

I was just wondering if anyone has any idea if it is safe to venture out as far as spirit island yet? (south side of lake)
Me and some friends are going up Friday and going to fish many different areas of the lake. Am curious about ice conditions in that area and maybe if anyone knows how the perch biting.
Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

There was 8-10" all the way out and around Spirit, not much action out that way, but I wouldn't be suprised if there is a good night bite going out there.

I would be shocked if you find ice less than 6-8" anywhere on the lake. But check for youself.

Hey grabs.
Thanks for the input. We will be heading up some time tommorow or saturday morning and was wondering if you have heard of and areas that are doing well with the perch action or walleye. I talked to one of my friends briefly and he told me that the perch fisherman were doing extremely well. We chated just for a few minutes, but he neglected to inform me on when this was. Could you possibly point me in the direction of any of this action. We would really appreciate this. If you ahve any spots I would be willing to maybe trade off some cordinates for some areas of where we had great walleye fishing in the past expierences for some perchin' spots.
