Had the pleasure of getting out yesterday, Sunday, with my brother Alphid and two other guys we met on Fishing Minnesota, Mykal and Cordell. Had a great time, nice to meet fishermen like ourselves that like to get out and have a fun time fishing and sharing information and meeting new people, thanks guys was fun!

Ice conditions were good out of there, probably about 6-8 inches all around. we drilled all over looking for the structure, finding the break, etc. We graphed fished periodically, we surmised they were perch for the most part because they were just nipping at the fatheads we had on. You had to keep your bait active to grab their attention and get them to come in the area, that seemed evident. I pulled in two of them in on a #2 Swedish Pimple, with green sticker on it, with a head of a fathead. Later on, i was lucky enough to get two short walleyes on the same bait, just jigging a foot off the bottom in about 14 feet, off a break from 8 feet, with rocks/hard bottom. When the walleyes came in, they seemed to want it, chasing the bait hard on the vexilar, then the rod was bent...but they were dinks, so what can you say?

Either way, first time out on the lake this year, it was fun, nice meeting those guys too, and even nab some fish. We should plan that again soon maybe over this weekend, we will be in touch, thanks for the spot!

Anytime whopper! Likewise. Heck you caught all of the fish so as far as the "spot" We can do better. One of our "A" spots should be good to go this weekend. Lets plan on this weekend. Hopefully we won't get caught in the middle of another cold front.
