Blackduck and Area Lakes

Recommended Posts

Although the fishing has switched (northern bite really kicking in) on Blackduck from what it was like a couple of weeks ago, many folks are still coming off the lake with some nice ones. The walleye bite is not as hot as it was, but even as of today walleyes are being caught, with the evening bite being more productive than the afternoon. Working the bars in 15 to 20 feet of water using a lindy rig with a leech or a night crawler has been the ticket for some nice eating walleyes up to three pounds. Working the weedlines near the island in 10 to 15 feet of water has produced more northerns than walleyes, as well as some 10 to 12 inch perch. The perch bite has also been good for folks who have been shore fishing.

The crappies and sunnies continue to hit well at Gilstad and North Twin. Pimushe is also producing nice bluegills with a few nice walleyes in the evening. Dora Lake has been doing well for nice perch just by shorefishing also.

On Moose Lake the panfish are hitting, as well as the northerns are biting along the weedbeds in approximately 15 feet of water.

Good Luck!

Drake- Thanks for all your help in locating the walleyes on Blackduck lake. We sure had a great time for our Anniversary catching some nice walleyes on Friday and Sat.
