The ice fishing in the area is getting off to a great start. Blackduck Lake has approximately 16" to 18" of ice and the walleye and northern are biting. We have reports of catching eight and ten walleye in two days, including some nice five pounders.

The northern have been in the three to five pound range. The northern were caught by regular ice fishing and spearing.

The snow base is starting to build back up again with approximately six inches of powder currently on the ground.

Hi Drake, it's good to have you on bord.Are you familiar with the pennington area just south of you? If so,maybe you could point out a few of the lakes known for panfish. I heard from a buddy that there are some real jems for sunfish in the winter.
Any comments would be appreciated.
