First Time on Mille Lacs

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys and Gals! I just wanted to introduce myself and just say I really think what you guys are doing is a good thing. I'm at work and taking a break. I was just surfing and stumbled along to this message board. My wife my brother in law and my best friend are all going up to the Big Pond for the first time this weeekend! you guys don't know how many times we've drove by and said we should give Mille Lacs a try? Well were going to try her out! I've been reading reports and I take it the fish are BITING really good and this is probally a good time to get to know the lake! with it being the way it is right now. We fish all the time for multiple types of fish one of course is walleyes. We figured we would give the south west side a try hopefully we can catch some nice fish this weeekend. From reading reports the fish are really biting all over we just are going for pichures to take home we don't care about eatting any so if someone could give some helpfull hints we have enough experince to take it from there! I got that leeches and long snells are working right now? Are the Walleyes hitting so often that one pound wouldn't make it through a weekend? We almost always fish big winnie so I'm really excited to fish Mille Lacs. WE'RE AFTER BIG FISH! just for a pichure! Thanks Brettskee
