Did anyone get out partridge hunting? I was out for a walk Saturday afternoon, beautiful, but no flushes.

Got out today for about a 4 hour walk in a local fed game reserve. Saw 2 does but no birds. The only type of area we didn't walk thru was the river bottom area near the water's edge. Didn't have the boots on for a walk like that. Kinda disappointing to not even flush a single bird tho'....

My friend went out after grouse while I bow hunted. He and his dog put in about 5-6 hours Sat. & Sun. morning and no flushes. We were up in the Lake of the Woods area. I think the floods wiped out most of this years hatch.

Went up to Chippawa National Forrest today. What a beautiful day in the woods! There was about a inch coating of snow in the open areas. My uncle and I walked about 4 hours without a dog and jumped 6. Got 2 shots off and got 2 birds! What a great trip.
