The Pack is Back-- WAY BACK!!!

AS a Vikes Fan, it was a treat watching the packers fall apart when Favre went out. Nice run defense, Packers. 1-3, 2 losses in a row at home. Looks like it's the Vikes and Lions this year in the NFC NORTH>

the only two games that matter this year are the two that the packers beat the vikings.

Oh mud you kill me!! I was going to start a GB packer basher thread and I see you've got one going! I heard the reporters say the Favre was asked what his IQ was and his response was 20! I guess he did know the answer and could have went back into the game. I can hear that sweet Packer song in my head right now.... bum bum bum ba bum bum bum... go pack go!! AWAY! You can't win at home.... 6 wins and 6 losses in their last 12 home games... thats home cooking!

a vikings fan is used to watching a team fall apart, they go through it every year.

The Packers management isn't prepared for the team to fall apart. Too that Couch wasn't smart enough to figure out the offense.

And now the Pack is even farther BACK!!!!!

McKenzie is now a Saint. Maybe they will cut his hair down south. The Pack realy got alot for him too. A Backup QB and a second rouder.

It's realy too bad though, I was just waiting for Moss to burn him for a few long ones tongue.gif

Way to go Pack!!!! Looks like you guys are heading in the right direction. Backwards. Seems like a little Bart Starr mystique of the 80's coupled with Eddie Lee Ivory. It seems this team is just as bad if not worse than those groups of no-bodies coached (and I use that term lightly) by Starr. AHH-
nothing like a 1-4 Packer team with 3 losses in a row at Lambeau. Looks like the Lions -6 at the S.Dome this weekend. When is the last time that happened??? Just like Old Swill, it don't get any better than this!!!!

I almost feel sorry for the packers fans! I would have liked to see their squad atleast put up a fight. If my Vikings were doing as bad as the Packers I wouldn't want to have people piling on so I'll take the high road.... atleast until a cheesehead fan says something dumb like "remember last year".
It's too bad Favre has to go out on a sour losing note.... I'm betting he has no more than two years left in him, especially if the cheese doesn't start winning. Oh, didn't he toss 3 more interceptions last night? WOW, Duante has less than that on the year... 1

I couldn't see Farve sticking around another 2 yrs his team is lousy around him and he is just going to get hurt. Besides he isn't playing real well this year anyway.

Buzz you don't have to take the high road I am sure the pack fans still think they are going to win the super bowl and that Favray will be the nfl mvp.

MJR, your probably correct in your packer fan assesment. I haven't known too many humble packer fans... they always have the Bucks and Brewers to cheer for!

Well, as long as the packers keep believing "oh as long as we got Favre". I think their troubles will continue. They have a good core of Receivers and a good tight end, not to mention a solid running back even with the suspect hands. They should have traded up in the draft for a Solid young QB than can throw the "deep" ball to take over for Favre one day sooner or later. But an even Bigger problem is the secondary, and I will end on that note.

kind of funny that you viking fans come out of the wood work and mouth off when the packers loose but you don't metion anything about blowing a big lead sunday and just about choked one away.

come on, talk about your weak defense lets hear it! number 99 getting benched so he'd actually try and play hard instead of running his mouth like viking fans.

yep, the packers defense sucks but i'll tell you one thing, we have a pretty good shot at out scoring your a$$es when we meet!!

typical...

Sure the Vikes blew a big lead but they still won the game and it was on the road. The Pack on the other hand got blown out on the road. Oh wait a minute, that game was at Lambeau...

Long time reader, first time poster.

Otto,

Actually, the Viking fans have been here since the start of the season. But since the Pack has been on the slide cheese has been hard to come by.

Ottoman, settle down tiger, it's all in good fun. I like to rile people up once in a while and I like to think we're all friends... so don't ever take anything I say personally. But be sure and be sarcastic with me because I can appreciate that!

I think we are all having fun here. Otto wasn't it you who was congratulating another packer rube for trying to get under the skin of a vikings fan.

My thought is that when you were sending out insults you thought your team was at least average. Looks like they are not any way you slice it.

What is your facination with Hovan? He hasn't done anything for over 2 yrs except on Sunday.

Ya we almost blew the game, we have a terrible defense but we are in 1st place and the packers are out of the playoffs in week 5. Even Favray is saying they are not as good as he thought.
Man I am lovin it!

MJR, I'm certain the comment you are referring to was actually made to me a while back. I appreciate you having my back... or atleast keeping the ottomeister in check.
Yo otto the greek, What will the Packers final record be this year??

i feel like i'm back in the 80's, living it all over again.

Ah yes, the vikings are once again in first place with a lousy defense. As much as viking fans don't like to look to the past and all the pain and suffering that comes with that, I've seen this formula too many times under the Tice & Green regime. The formula spells L-O-S-E when it comes to playoff time.

You silly queen fans, when you will ever learn?

BF, I am well aware of how bad our defense is and yes that will most likely be the end of us in the playoffs. Are you aware of how bad your offense and defense are? You will not have to worry about a formula for success in the playoffs this year. Here it is in week 5 and you guys are pretty much out of it.

My favorite thing about Packer fans is that they have no idea how lousy their team is.

Get your roll on.

Bottomfeeder, It sounds like you've already given the division to the Vikings. It surprises me that a die hard packer backer would do this after five games... Is it true, do you believe your team is done already? I have to believe you think this since your already talking about the Vikes future post season failure to draw away from there present success in regular season. It's a classic Packer fan response... classless, predictable and simple minded.

Oh and one more thing bottomfeeder and whomever else has made the statement about how bad the Vikings defense is.
We were not the team that gave up 47 points in a game... I believe it is your packers that have the bad defense!

I believe it was 48 points. The most points an opponant has EVER scored against the pack at home!

Back when the DNR was seining our beach in July I asked, and apparently they were through oak narrows.   But long way to go to get to us.   I'll keep my eyes open and my mask and snorkel on.  Didn't see any sign off them this summer.

Nice job Troy.   We are happy with our opening day for ducks.  2 man limit of mixed species by 10am.  LOTS of people where we were today but that was expected.  Other than getting beat to our spot, no issues that would keep up away.  Not even the rain.

Thanks, I'm riding this now TW200 so not sure I can get on any of the ATV trails. Might have to sled by in the winter! 👍

There are actually 3 tree carvings on the trail from Soudan to Ely.  I saw 2 of them but missed the 3rd.  I believe that trail is the Prospector Trail #4 or #6.  You have to start from the parking lot on the Murray Road 2 miles past Soudan since several property owners on the old railroad bed didn't allow off-road vehicles on their properties.  Another option is to travel from Tower to Embarrass then on to Ely, but that adds a couple hours to the trip.

I've seen that caving on a few web pages. What trail is that on?  It would be cool to ride by. 👍

The colors are getting good. Beautiful time of year. Maples are full red and birch and aspen are going too.  I’m not finding a formula for walleyes. Best luck when fishing saddles and shoreline drop offs 10’ down to 20’. I’m using old crawlers, too, because a) it’s hard to find minnows although Northwoods in Cook has them and b) it’s been too warm to keep them alive.  We do have a change in weather happening right now. Wind is coming up and the temperature is dropping. It’s going to be hard to fish Saturday through Monday but the change could be good after that.  Good luck, you’ll need some. They are out there and you’ll get dinner but you’ll have to work for them. RLG

Thank you. Yes, weather does look sketchy but we'll make the best of it. Looking forward to the colors and just getting away.

Some more heavily fished lakes are tough ALL season.  Lake Minnetonka and Mille Lacs come to mind.  The water is clear, there are tournaments all the time, and the fish are not easy to catch.   That is why I focus my efforts on lakes with less pressure.
